Earning his Keep....

i feel like i am always posting something and that "something" usually involves our dogs! I promise we caseys do have other things going on besides life with our dogs: it just seems that i always have my camera when moments like these arise.

we talk alot about how "lucky" Lucky really is...i mean he landed himself a pretty nifty family,we feed him, walk him, pet and love on him and we take really good care of him, I THINK????

i walked in one morning recently and found that trey had put Lucky's leash on and proceeded to command Lucky's attention for at least 2o minutes....the bottom 3 pictures show trey using "force" to pull Lucky in his direction!
i must admit: Lucky was the the perfect pet and heeded to all of trey's demands. i guess we should stop thinking he is the Lucky one because i think we are pretty "lucky" to have him.

we have been quite busy since Easter. we are having some work done in our backyard and while it is going to look fantastic, it is quite a mess.
my uncle tim and his crew are heading up the project and we simply can not wait to see the end result!

Easter Sunday 2010

For Easter Sunday, we went to my parents church, the church i grew up in and was so active in our EYC Group, and Michael and I got married here as well. It was nice to go back to something so familiar. Looking back at the pictures I have from Easter Sunday i realize i didn't take much....must have been having waaayy to much fun to remember the camera. bummer. because we were all dressed in our Sunday Best and it would have been nice for a family snapshot...oh well.

We had a wonderful lunch at our house with our family, including Ryan, Kristin and Lily. Below are the only pictures i snapped. FINALLY some pictures of GaGa and Trey...i have none of them, i mean none. GaGa brought trey a lovely Easter Basket filled with all sorts of goodies and books and even one for Lily! Trey loves books so i captured some great pictures of them reading the book she got him.

Sugar Rush....

The concept of an "Easter egg hunt" didn't really sink in with Trey this year! There were hundreds of eggs and kids everywhere running as fast as their feet would carry them to collect as many eggs as they could!

Not Trey. Nope.

FOUND.CONQUERED.TAKEN.

He found this one egg and was mesmorized by it for at least 30minutes and then he realized it opened!!! And not only opened but had something tasty in it!!!

mmmm....chocalate...

and then the sugar rush kicked in...he sat staring for quite a while.....

maybe next year, he'll get the "gist" of a hunt but for now one egg was good enough.

Goodbye Cold...Helllooo Sunshine

over the weekend we went to the pool.....this past winter has stretched into the end of March and i believe we are finally into Spring and moving towards summer! which means sunshine, hats,sunscreen,swimming,popsicles,watermelon,slip-n-slides,lemonade stands,shorts and flipflops, plus the humidty,mosquitos,squelching heat... but mostly just FUN.

i also learned a few "pool" tips the "hard" way...apparently every momma but me knew to bring a bag full of fun, colorful, hard to resist toys for the baby pool....i wish someone had told me!! trey wanted every toy and played with it like it was his own....we spent the majority of our time repeating the following phrase: "trey, thats not yours. can you give it back to the little boy/girl please? You may play with this"...which was Aunt A's big hat and he wanted nothing to do with it. Which resulted in 30sec meltdowns until we did it all over again!!! Luckily, everyone was very nice and let us play with their nifty toys. But "poolers" beware we will bring own bag of toys next time for sure!!!

Also, thanks to my friend megan. She told me about this swimsuit from Target and i love it. i'm not ready to bare my fabulous,taut abs quite yet because i really don't like making other women jealous....soo i wanted a one piece but a one piece that A. didn't look like it was made for a Mom. B.That didn't look like it was made to cover up "fabulous, taut abs".....well this target piece was a winner. it is really cute on and i received many compliments....so thank you megan for sharing this find and now i don't have to make anyone envious of my abs.Because, ladies if you saw 'em you'd want 'em....sike!
