lunch about 11:00: lunch meat(turkey is the preferred meat), yogurt, carrots, avacodo,pasta,hummus,white bean soup,fruit
nap:12-130 (not a big sleeper except at night you sleep like a champ which is good.)
snacks:fruit:banana,mango,all berries,peaches,watermelon, most everything, goldfish,cheerios,cereal bars, juice box(just 1 a day)
dinner is at 6: mostly anthing and everything
bath at 645ish asleep at 7 with a bottle

*starting to really associate "things" with people and places: when you see a black car: you point to and say "dada", same with dada's travel bag/suitcase, and mommies purse or gym bag,your swim diapers and suit you say "poo"(for pool), you realize that the TV remote actually turns the tv on and off you point it at the tv and try to turn it on
*love brushing your teeth and your hair
*your fine motor skills have really shone through this month as well: you can take the straw out of your juice box and then place it back in the hole, turning the pages of books made of the thin paper, using your spoon and fork to feed yourself: you don't favor a hand yet, holding crayons,opening and locking the dog crates.taking bandaids in and out of the box and then putting them all back in,connects blocks
*climbing and putting things "into and out of " bins and buckets is still a favorite for you. especially anything that is a kitchen object:measuring cups etc....

*you love getting the mail from the mailman
*has really become good at "cleaning up" before moving on to another activity
Personality:
alot is still the same as you were when you were born: observant, still like to "watch" other kids your age play but not necessarily want to join them, you love your routine(get this from you dad),takes time for you to warm up to new environments: teachers, people, surroundings etc.., a jokester(very coy and silly),loving, a mamas boy:very attached and i'm honored(you won't be like that forever),assertive,determined,easily frustrated,creative: you use different objects to stack on top of each other to climb up and reach something you want(one day i turned around and you had stacked lola's dog food under the window, stepped on top so you could get momma's keys: you love holding my keys and wallet,kind,sensitive,curious about everything
*we are using 1.2.3 Magic and it has worked so well with you!!!! you still test us but you picked up right away that once momma or dada says "thats 3, take 5" that you were going to have go to a "thinking spot" and sit for 1 minuto!
*your favorite thing to say right now to any of our questions is "NO". a sweet lady asked to hold you at the gym and you looked right at her and said, "No, shaking your head forcefully". Your swim teacher said, "Trey can i have a high five"? you said No, but gave her one later

Fourteenth Month:
*loving airplanes: "jets". Mama figures its easier for you to say jet. You aren't able to get the "j'' sound out so you point to the sky and say "et"....
*another new favorite is Barney....You clap your hands and walk around like Barney does with your hands out front and palms up!!!
*officially on cow's milk: not a fan but we are trying. Still won't take milk in a sippy cup. Just a bottle. So you are still having a morning and evening bottle
*started liquid vitamin: we put it in your sippy cup with water or your juice
*you love books: some new favorites: anything by Eric Carle(mama's favorite too: i have a ton from my teaching days!!!)Grouchy Ladybug,,The Very Busy Spider, and Rooster's Off to See the World. You also love any book with Elmo!
*When we ask you a question and you don't know the answer you will hold your hands in the air,palms up and say "no" like i don't know!
*When we ask for your shoes or zaptos, you go get them
*Had your 1year checkup May 6th: no reactions to shots, just a bit fussy. no fever etc.

Thirteenth Month

* schedule:wakes 7:00am like clockwork, plays in crib until 7:15/20, stands in crib saying "baba", 80z bottle and watch pbs curious george or sid the science kid(momma's favorite), breakfast about 8:30:egg whites,waffles,pancakes,oatmeal snacks throughout morning cheerios,blueberries,strawberries,grapes,cereal bars, lunch btw 11 and 12, 12:30-2:30 Nap, another 8oz Bottle when you wake, snacks, dinner about 6pm Nuggets, spinanch, carrots,beans,soup,pasta, bath about 7pm and sweet dreams at 7:30pm.
* Sleeping through the night....i am so glad we changed you from 2 to 1 nap a day at 9months bc now you sleep like a champ at night!
* Your First Easter Egg Hunt:you found the first egg you saw and plopped down to play with it...
* into EVERYTHING!!! Busy Busy little guy. You love to take things out of anything and put it back into another place...we found a formula bottle in my swimsuit drawer!!!

Tenth Month
* illness: you've had a bout 3/4 colds since birth, no ear infections or any other illness(knock on wood)
* food: bananas, hummus, sweet potoato fries and mashed,rice, beans(white bean soup),blueberries, eggs(whites and sometimes with the yolk too),oatmeal, chicken,pretty much anything now
* Def. having some sep.anxiety when Mommy leaves. Started about the beginning of 10months
* bashful around new people: takes about 20minutes and then your off!
* still dislike the car/carseat. maybe it's the whole facing backward thing: however, kiddo, i think youll be facing that way for a while: you are a little guy!
* You still do best on a routine schedule: but are certainly more flexible than in the past

Ninth Month

* you are starting to mimick: you laugh when i laugh: its so fun for us to make you belly chuckle
* you tried bites of cut up mango today and loved it!
* yaya pointed out that your favorite toy is the Dog Crate!!! She is so right. you LOVE that thing and it keeps you very entertained!
* walking very precisely with your walker. you control the walker so nicely. you can turn the walker around, back it up and stand still and move it forward and back.
* absolutely love your walks w/ Mommy just not in a stroller!! You love the moby and actually now like the bjorn but you have never been and still don't like the stroller. Which kinda sucks becasue we have an entire fleet of strollers!
* You loved sitting on Santa's Lap and Didn't' cry which we were honestly shocked about!!! You were a trooper and continue to surprise us all the time.
* you have yet to have a diaper rash or an ear infection(knock on wood); however i think you might have a slight case of eczema taking you to the Doctor: however, it could just be the winter weather causing it as well.
* Food: I'm still giving you 3 jars of food a day, rice cereal, puffs, bananas, rice, beans, to be honest we have had a slllllloooow start on the solids/finger foods as i am having aniexty over choking. So we have started you off at 9months with the puffs, yogurt bites that melt, bananas cut in strips...hoping to move forward and let go of my aniexty.
* Your Schedule: Lights Out: 7:30 wake up about 7am, bottle, nap about 945, wake up eat cearal, nap about 1 or 2 wake around 3/4 have food, bottle, dinner, bottle bed

* 2 things you test us most on: 1. diaper changes and getting dressed you love to roll over, stand up anything but the diaper change or getting dressed 2. getting you into the carseat. you now think its a game: the minute we click the car keys and the car beeps to unlock you start giggling and wiggling you have your game face on. we sit you in the carseat and have to be super fast to buckle you in becasue you are arching your back and turning around standing up in your carseat just having a grand time. finally we have decided not to let you get away with that so we are being good "disciplinarians" and tag teaming getting you buckled.
* most pleasant thing about you right now: your curiosity, your budding sense of humor, your laugh and giggle, your sweetness, your love for the outdoors and ALL things animal! The way smile at us, your two top front teeth, the way you will "talk" and babble to us as though you saying something very important

* personality: you have bloomed into a little social bug. you say hi and byebye to everyone we see: the cashier at Lowe's the people at HEB and you love waving. you have become much more flexible in meeting new people. still very observant, and still not a fan of the carseat:

Eighth Month
* you are also so much more comfortable with new people. you are still slightyl shy and bashful but now it only takes 5min or so to warm up compared to a full 24hours!
* this month we also introduced a walker to you and its a little advanced but you love it...we just have to hold onto you tightly.

* the day after thanksgiving, nov.27th 2009 you looked at lola, pointed and said "LOLA"....Grama, Daddy, Papa and Ashley heard so I know mommy was just hearing things. i'm marking that down as your first real word. I started laughing and crying. who would have thought that your first word would bring about such emotion. it could be that you have just heard us say "lola" so much that you were just repeating it but we all agreed that you pointed, said her name and laughed.
* just this month i noticed how much you love to watch people, esp. kids and babies you are still so very observant
* you understand what "danger" and "no" means but you think its funny
* def. testing your boundaries. you know the stairs are "danger" "no no" but you go to them "Just close enough" then turn around to make sure we are still watching you
* still climbing and crusin around everywhere, still crawling on your elbows daddy says we are going to enter you in the "competitive crawling" contest...your pretty fast, we call it the "army crawl"
* personality: you are becoming very funny. love to watch us talk(still) and you even turn mommy and daddys face towards you with your chubby little hand because you want us looking and talking at YOU
* First Thanksgiving: Loved the mashed potatoes, turducken and grama's homemade pumpkin pie

* we got you a new carseat and thank heaven's you love it! I think you like that fact that it sits up.
Seventh Month
* you still despise the car/carseat/ i think its the facing backwards that you don't like. you never liked facing that way in the baby bjorn or moby wrap: you always wanted to be looking out and observing
* rolled off our bed: 11.12.09 for the first time onto some pillows...think it really scared you and us...
* You are sooo busy right now. love movin' and crusin'....i clean the kitchen floor every morning bc you are all over it!
* Waving "Bye Bye"...backwards. When Daddy leaves in the morning we stand at the window and you wave "bye bye" with your sweet little hand pointed toward your face! So cute!
* you are down to 4 bottles a day and solids about 3 or 4 times a day: 11-2-09
* you started pulling up and "cruisin" this week! 11-2-09 very exciting but certainly keeps mommy busy you want to pull up on everything!
* Dislikes:Naps,strangers, takes a while for you to warm up to people you dont know well(aka: don't see on a daily basis), the car, being left out of the party love to be where we are, peas,
* Starting to learn "NO"(and not liking it)However, we try to use "Danger" instead because the actions that you are doing are more dangerous than anything. I did this w my Kindergarten Kiddos and they really appreciated "Danger" instead of "No"....

* SCARED of the vaccum... which is odd bc for the first 3 months of your life that sound was the only thing to calm you during your Colic sessions: Funny how time flies
* Recently Dr.Allison said, "Hmmm, I think your going to have a "pistol" on your hands"....that comment sent mommy crying to her mommy and my mommy said, "honey, you and your sisters were referred to as "the twin tornados" payback is a b***ch! I guess there is always behavior modification...I believe I was on the "token system". Unfortuantley, for Daddy, who apparently was a "golden child" is in denial. But who knows what you'll be like we won't stick you in a box and label you !!!

* A New Trick: You lock your legs real stiff so it makes it hard to buckle you in the carseat..you still dislike the carseat...
* Our Favorite Thing About YOU: Everything: your smile, your laugh, your growing independence and curiosity,
* A First: We were taking a bath and all of a sudden you grunted and then I felt it...YUPPERS you POOPED in the bathtub, looked right and me and started laughing!! You felt sweet relief and well, I had mixed feelings about the whole thing!! HA!
* Special Memories: Our vacation to Hunt, Tx. it was so nice to be together and you and Daddy had such a nice time
* You had your first cold this month: lasted about 2 weeks, saw the Dr. twice and then on the third week he gave you some medicine that cleared it right up. It was hard on you because you couldn't sleep very well!
* Saying "Mama"...you look right at me and hold your arms up and say "Mama", You cry and say "Mama"...I"m not sure if this is really your first word or not but I know deep down it is. Even Daddy and Maria have heard you say it and its only when I"m in the room and your looking right at me. It makes me sooo happy!
* October 15th 2009: I walked into your nursery and you were standing up in your crib holding onto the rails::OMG scared me silly...
* Milestones the Month: crawling EVERYWHERE...Mommy can't sit still for one moment
* You love music class at 2nd Baptist..esp. the bubbles and crawling around on Hallie's Blanket!
Fifth Month
* Sept 8,2009:5months 9 days shy of 6months We have a tooth! Treys bottom tooth finally popped thru: be on lookout for pics soon, however right now he won't let us touch it!
* Eating:loves Rice Cereal, Bananas, Apples, tried Squash and not a fan but we shall try again...we need to get some veggies in there. When you are eating you love to take the spoon and guide my hand to your mouth..sometimes you shove the spoon too far back in your mouth!
* More and More people are commenting that you look more like Mommy....
* Personality: Very unsure of people you don't know, cry almost instantly when you see someone coming over,maybe you think Mommy/Daddy will leave you, but once you warm up you are fine, I would say you are a little insecure and shy. You love to watch people talk; its like you are trying to decipher what we are saying, love to cuddle,still easily frustrated,very curious, love to watch people eat and you want to put EVERYTHING in your mouth..you are very sweet and love to smile, you enjoy being close to mommy and daddy, you are easily bored...we are always on the move!
* You have gotten use to the ladies at the Bungalow and now are able to enjoy yourself for a few hours while Mommy has her workout.
* Your Baptism:: Sept. 13th 2009.
* Special Memories: You attended your first birthday party. It was our friend, Izzie's 3rd Birthday at West U Park. You loved the clown and watched her make all the balloons
* Milestones this Month: Inching across the floor...learning to wave byebye
* You really dislike your carseat right now. Maybe because you love being mobile/active/observant and you feel constrained in your seat...
* Your favorite things: LOLA....we can pretty much calm you down, entertain you, with sweet Lola. Just saying her name and you instantly look for her, smile or stop crying. Its amazing.
* Since the weather has cooled off some(not much but some) we are outside in the mornings and you love to just sit in the stroller and watch the trees move, the birds fly and of course Lola
* Sleep Schedule: 7:30pm to 3:30am, eat, then back to sleep until 630 or 7
* Inchworm!! You are now moving across your playmat like an inchworm...when you get tired you just starting rolling all over the place!
Fourth Month
* Lots of talking: aka BABBLING...all the time....
* On family car rides you usually: CRY....you really dislike the your carseat right now....I think you just want to be moving your arms and legs and feel confined
* Personality Traits: sweet, observant(you love to watch people have conversations: you move your head back and forth like your following us talk, kinda funny) tempermental(hmmm think you take that one after me)funny: you'll cry one minute and laugh the next, headstrung/persistant, curious..
* YOUR FAVORITE THINGS: MOMMY,Mommy Singing,YOUR FEET,SCREECHING(the octave decibel you can attain is amazing), Grunting, LOLA(you guys are becoming fast friends....)
* Eating and Sleeping: 6 to 7oz.(sometimes 8oz. but thats about 2x week)every 4 hours; Starting Rice Cereal 8/12/09; Sleeping from about 9:30 to 6:30 on average; still waking up about 4 to eat; still sleeping in crib on Nap Nanny
* Our Favorite Thing about you right now: EVERYTHING!!! Certainly your laugh/giggle...we spend hours thinking of ways to make you laugh....
* Our Special Memory of you This Month:the way you still love to be cuddled and how you wrap up in our arms
* Milestones: When we do "roll ups", I grab your hands you roll up and then "tripod" your able to sit like that for about two minutes and then you topple over; you pull the bottle towards your mouth when your hungry and pull the bottle out when you've had enough,TEETHING:which the books say some babies sail right through teething while its torturous for others: well, no surprise here, buddy, its pretty painful for you!! We've been trying all sorts of soothing remedies...
* Went to Galveston to visit Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kristin's new home! It is AWESOME and you my love, were very very good! No Fussy Monkey Business that day::: well except in the car...your not a fan of your carseat!
* SINCE you don't enjoy tummy time you've been working on another new trick: sitting up! You are officially able to do the "tripod"! I didn't know there was a name for what you were doing but our dear friend Catherine said, "Hey, he can tripod"! Go Trey!
* you really dislike tummy time and hence you aren't doing alot of rolling over
* Took to Dr. for possible ear infection: instead TEETHING: You are in the "tooth eruption" stage of teething!
Third Month
* Around the World: this month Michael Jackson passed away, i am sure you will hear his music one day. Recession is still going on but seems to be letting up but families are still struggling, you were born during one of the worst economic times sinces the 1930's,Mexico drug cartel posing a serious threat to safety
* personality: this month you have become extremely aware of your surroundings and the people around you, deciphering between "who is who" and hence only wanting mommy or daddy esp. if we are in the room: i hope you outgrow this as it really hurts grama/papa and yaya/pop pop feelings when you only want us!!!! Fingers crossed that this is just a stage.However, it only seems to be when we are either in the room or we are with a large group of people: when you are with maria or at the bungalow you seem fine. I think when we are with a large group you become easily over stimulated.I think you must get that from Daddy because Mommy's Motto is "more people the better"!!!!
* outings: this month you went to Rockport and Dallas
* Daddy Duty: This month while Daddy had you, you guys went to the Galleria and Central Market. Mommy doesn't generally take you, I try to do those things while your with Maria but you guys had a good time. However, mommy had you in a cute SMOCKED outfit and daddy said he wasn't taking you out with him dressed liked that( what he doesn't know is that you guys would have been "chick magnets" with you dressed in a cute smocked outfit...oh well, his loss!!! HA
* Our dear friends who own "Hamilton Shirts" made you and daddy matching "bespoke" shirts this month:they are daddy's favorite shirt maker: when you are older we will tell you what "bespoke" means....
* nicknames: "littlest Boo Boo", Trey-Man Foo"(daddy named you this)," Fuss Monkey"(yes, trey, we will often remind you esp. at your wedding that you dear were certainly a "Fuss Monkey"!
* Our favorite thing about you right now:your emerging personality: sometimes your very silly and others serious...you can raise your one eyebrow up like daddy, the way you love to hold our hands as you fall asleep,your determination: you are easily frustrated when you can't do something yourself,our family bath times with you: i know you 'll grow up and go yuck but we have much fun!
* swimming for first time: daddy put you underwater: you seemed to love it.
* milestones: smiling alot, giggling a little( we are waiting anxiously to hear your laugh! ),pushing up on your arms, holdling your head up when we do our "roll ups",rolling over to the top of your hip and then mommy helps you go over,holding your own bottle and holding your pacifier and putting it in your mouth
* you fall asleep with the help of: the HEPA filter in your bedroom(thank you Aunt Megan for mentioning that piece of equipment), loved being rock in your glider, your pacifier
* You smile when: you see Mommy or Daddy, when we sing to you, bath time, peek a boo
* love your "weesee" dvd that daddy plays on the big tv: slow moving, black and white shapes moving across screen set to classical music: kinda "trippy" if you ask us! but you love it!
* you recently began "watching" the tv: i think you like the colors/movement
* your favorite thing right now: toys that play music and light up at the same time
* since hospital: you are taking in 4 to 5 oz every 3/4 hours:
* june 28th admitted to Tx Childrens for a stomach/intestinal infection, you were given an IV for dehydration until all the vomitting/dierhea subsided..you were such a trooper during those couple of days...daddy held your hand during the IV insertion, Mommy just cried!
* still sleeping in crib: bedtime 830/9, wake up for a feeding btw 230/3, back to sleep until 630/7
* June 14th, Day Before your Three Month Birthday: Slept in Crib, in your own Room for 7hours straight
Second Month
* First outing to a Restaurant in the evening. El Tiempo on Washington June 6th
* Doctor prescribed laxative, otc:Miralax ,to see if "unclogging" him will get him to eat more
* Still not pooping on his own and not eating enough at each feeding.
* Holding up Neck
* First "noticed" Lola June 3 09
* Sat in Bumbo June 3 09
* Still drinking about 3oz at feedings: Eat about 6 to 7X a day
* First Vaccines: May 14,09: 25th%tile for length: 21 1/2inches 25%tile for weight: 10lb.5oz.
* Reached for a Toy hanging over his head:Friday May 15,09
* Still sleeping in the swing:::: 6 Weeks
* Sleeping/Waking every 3 to 4 hours During Night::::5weeks
* Similac Soy Formula to help with GERD and Lactose Intolerance::::6weeks May 1, 2009
* Trying to hold head and neck up during tummy time::::5weeks
* Big Smiles and Lots of Cooing::::Since 6weeks
* Switched from Born Free to Dr. Brown's Bottles doing much better with Dr. Brown's::::6weeks
* Taking Prevacid 1x/day and Bethanicol .08ml 4X/day:::: 6Weeks
* Has learned to take and enjoy pacifier!! Thank goodness. Mommy was tired of being a "pacifier" and a "feeder"!

First Month
* Enjoys our nighttime feedings when its just me and Mommy! Mommy's favorite time too!
* Easily over stimulated
* 4th week Learned to take a bottle of pumped milk...seems to switch from me to bottle just fine!!!!
* Likes to lay on Daddy's chest
* Very Gassy...Toots alot!
* Enjoys Daddy's car rides...again..the faster the better!
* Likes to listen to our Nanny,Maria's voice...
* Started to get very fussy in the evenings...could this be the start of Colic? YIKES...TBD..
* Had cradle cap..but it has now gone away!
* Trying pacifiers but doesn't really like them... we think he will be a thumb sucker!
* Loves to make grunting noises when he eats!
* Attempting Tummy Time...but doesn't really like it yet
* LOVES to be held by his Uncle Ryan!
* dislikes his baths and diaper changes!
* likes to look at mobiles...very observant
* smiles in his sleep..showing his 2 precious dimples!
* loves the swing...the faster the better!
* Eating every 2 hours
