Father's Day Suprise: Part 1

for father's day this year i have decided to treat my wonderful husband and best friend to a small "surprise" for the next 3 weekends.

i recently emailed him for his 1st "surprise" for this coming saturday:

i don't normally blog too much of the conversations between he and i,mainly because he is much more modest than i am about posting things in "public" but since i have someone make the blog into a book every year...i want to capture some of our conversations:

the event starts at 8;20pm and is somewhat of a drive, so we will leave the house around 7pm.

when i get random emails, texts, responses like this, which he makes sure happen often,..well, he can still make blush and thats a good, joyful feeling.
when i received his response which isn't anything "thought provoking" or a "quote of the year award worthy", but i was alone at my computer...Blushing and had a grin from ear to ear like i had just received a love note from my boyfriend...it was a wonderful feeling. Here's to a great start to Father's Day 2011!

our friends mabry + sarah invited us to the madpotter for a little fun and father's day project! it was a huge hit with trey and he was so disciplined. even sarah commented on how focused he was on his project for daddy! thanks sarah + mabry for helping us get a head start on some of daddy's surprises!

trey + mabry have become really good friends! on this particular day they just started holding hands and hugging...they really bonded over painting at the mad potter :)

32...

we spent my 32nd Birthday in Austin( got the go ahead from the Doctor :)) and it was a very peaceful, quiet, no makeup, flip-flop kinda Birthday with my two boys. i love these two people so much and feel very content and blissfully happy with the life I, we, are living.

This Birthday I received a full, live rendition of the "happy birthday song" sang by the talented trey casey, and produced by a loving husband/daddy, a wonderful grilled dinner, and some fantastic birthday cards.

it was a lovely day.

trey was so eager and excited to hand me each and every card. he really took it seriously :)

Ashley + Myron's Engagement Party

Saturday night we hosted Ashley + Myron's Engagement Party along with my parents and Grami and Don. It was a wonderful evening of celebrating our Bride and Groom and getting to know the special and important people in their lives. We are all so happy for Ashley and think she has found a special and fantastic partner in life, Myron. They are both full of sunshine, love to talk, and have energy that keeps going and going....:) Welcome with love, to our family Myron Morrow!
