Pre-Rec #1 for Dating Trey:::Table Manners not Necessary(if you have table manners you need not apply.)

in the last week or so trey has become increasingly independent when it comes to eating. especially fond of all the foods that are messy and hard to clean up! he wants to feed himself with his spoon and is adamant about doing it himself. it goes everywhere but we sure do have a grand time!!! We just laugh ourselves silly. It is the best feeling and one would be amazed at how fast the time flies when you are watching your baby try to feed themselves.

for anyone who wonders and i'm often asked: what is it that I do all day: here it is...

i think the pictures speak for themselves::: i am right where i need to be.

PS: by the time dating does actually roll around i hope you have mastered the art of eating....as it is cute now but not so much when you are 16....and i also hope that whenever you do go out to eat thats friends and people you know will be a sport and always tell you when you have something stuck in your teeth!!! Mama can't be there all the time to tell you these things: so find friends who will. Sidenote::::this includes finding friends who will give you a notice about any "hangers"(boogers). love,mama

55 and Alive!

it was mom's 55th Birthday on the 29th of april and we celebrated over the weekend. Mom's motto for the evening was "55 and Alive"....!!!

we had such a good time and i'm often reminded, during times like this, how blessed i am to have my mom and sister in my life. we are close during happy times and close during those times when one or all of us need to be "set straight" or "put in our place"......i love you both very very much.

13months

two pictures that really capture trey at 13months! sometimes his hair looks blonde(not blonde like a toehead baby, but for a mama and dada who have jet black hair its blonde) and sometimes it has a nice reddish tint......

at 13months trey is a serious copy cat! michael and i are finding ourselves needing to be extra careful of things we do and say because we have a little mimic on our hands!

he also likes doing what daddy is doing. i snapped some of these over the weekend. my favorite is of trey running after michael......precious memories...i just want to keep him like this forever....

Gardening 101

daylights savings. nice weather.active 1year old= outside entertainment!!! we are outside alot and recently trey has been very interested in the watering can. he carries it with him everywhere...just dragging it to and fro!

another interest trey just stumbled upon are: AIRPLANES. he hears the planes and well, the picture below shows exactly what he does!! That little index finger goes straight into the air....



trey has also started sticking out his tongue...maybe he's deep in thought?

Earning his Keep....

i feel like i am always posting something and that "something" usually involves our dogs! I promise we caseys do have other things going on besides life with our dogs: it just seems that i always have my camera when moments like these arise.

we talk alot about how "lucky" Lucky really is...i mean he landed himself a pretty nifty family,we feed him, walk him, pet and love on him and we take really good care of him, I THINK????

i walked in one morning recently and found that trey had put Lucky's leash on and proceeded to command Lucky's attention for at least 2o minutes....the bottom 3 pictures show trey using "force" to pull Lucky in his direction!
i must admit: Lucky was the the perfect pet and heeded to all of trey's demands. i guess we should stop thinking he is the Lucky one because i think we are pretty "lucky" to have him.

we have been quite busy since Easter. we are having some work done in our backyard and while it is going to look fantastic, it is quite a mess.
my uncle tim and his crew are heading up the project and we simply can not wait to see the end result!

Easter Sunday 2010

For Easter Sunday, we went to my parents church, the church i grew up in and was so active in our EYC Group, and Michael and I got married here as well. It was nice to go back to something so familiar. Looking back at the pictures I have from Easter Sunday i realize i didn't take much....must have been having waaayy to much fun to remember the camera. bummer. because we were all dressed in our Sunday Best and it would have been nice for a family snapshot...oh well.

We had a wonderful lunch at our house with our family, including Ryan, Kristin and Lily. Below are the only pictures i snapped. FINALLY some pictures of GaGa and Trey...i have none of them, i mean none. GaGa brought trey a lovely Easter Basket filled with all sorts of goodies and books and even one for Lily! Trey loves books so i captured some great pictures of them reading the book she got him.
