Ashley + MM'S Place...

We got to go see Ashley and Myron's Home in McKinney! It is so nice and they live on a lovely piece of land which includes a little tractor...Trey was in heaven. MM bought Trey a fishing pole and he played with it for hours.....he was very interested in it and worked for a good 30 minutes trying to figure out how to "wheel" or "wind" the fish back in.....Thank you ashley and mm to treating us to a lovely time. Ashley cooked us a wonderful dinner, and pulled out all the stops to host her very first house guest in her new home. AND she had her entire house already setup for Christmas,  beautiful tree and all!!!

Brownies

We have been making alot of yummy stuff from Jessica Seinfield's Book and from the the blog: smittenkitchen. I really try to make alot of Trey's food, including snacks, because he is already naturally full of sugar and doesn't need that extra energy boost: he has enough energy to go around. This recipe called for pureed spinach and carrots so I did that part and he did the rest....as in ate the spoon the entire time :)

I am not a baker and these came out just like this and very dry...but you know what baby boy ate them  as a snack all week! I guess if you don't know what real brownies should taste and look like then  these will do just fine :)

halloween 2011 continues...

after we did our trick or treating we heading back home to pass out candy! i also introduced trey to "glow sticks" and he loved it!

trey did NOT like the idea of giving away "HIS" candy and i kept telling him he still had his trick or treat candy and this candy was for him to pass out...he was not a fan. here he is being territorial and growling at the trick or treaters. i have to some he made one kid cry. i'm serious. video to follow.

Laguana Beach

Michael had some clients dinners out in Laguana Beach a week or so ago and was able to get in some cycling on the side! It makes me happy when he can squeeze in time to do things like this when he is traveling! I can see why Calafornia people pay an arm and a leg to live there. It is beautiful!!!

6 Year Anniversary

We celebrated our 6 year Anniversary in October. October 22, 2005 we were married. The day of my wedding i was so excited and giddy and honestly thought, "it doesn't get any better than this"!!! I was wrong. It gets WAY BETTER. Every year we have grown and connected in ways that totally surpassed my expectations that day in 2005.  I wouldn't change one thing about Michael, he makes me want to be a better person. Here are some photos we snapped on our dinner out. This is a good as it gets when you are using an old iphone, taking it yourself and slighty tipsy from a night of good food, good wine and great conversation!

Trey and Sutton

The Goforths are our neighbors. We love them and have been friends since we moved into our home. Ashley is an interior designer, I'll plug her business, not that anyone reads this or cares or if you love scouring design blogs...but just in case :) www.ashleygoforthdesign.com Sutton will be two in January and Carys, her daugher, is 7months. We went trick or treating with them on Halloween. As you can see, Trey was totally over being a construction worker so he went dressed as "Trey" :) They are so cute together!

tents are big in our house right now. we build one in almost every room. this is what i walked into one morning that daddy made...and then of course he pretends he's hiding and we have to find him :)
