First Haircut

Trey got his first haircut on April 30th 2011. Aunt A was a vocal proponent and i believe her exact words were "Alli, its time, he looks like he has a fro" so off we went. I didn't really know what to expect from a behavior standpoint but looks like all he needs are 3 things:

1. A Lollipop, blue of course. His favorite color.
2. A fun car to sit in
3. A cell phone to call cousin Ella, YaYa, Coco or Lily ( these are the people he usually names when playing on the phone)

The end result, along with a very blue tongue :)

Happy Mother's Day all my Mamas! I love to dance and when i saw this i just wanted to break it down, but ya know, i'm not really moving fast these days and my dancing abilities at the moment are pretty lame. Kudos to all you ladies, we have a busy job,sometimes a very stressful job wearing many hats, buts it the best job in the world! Cheers to my Mamas, toasting my water glass to you all!!! Btw: I wonder if Michael wears a chain necklace when i step out for Girl's Night? Naaa...probably not.

My Handy Map!

trey is really into maps right now and when we entered the san diego zoo he immediately spotted the zoo map and was instantly hooked! Cute video of him "directing" us on where to go!

The San Diego Zoo

the san diego zoo was amazing, especially for trey who loves loves loves all animals! while it is wonderful, it is very STEEP...we were literally climbing, what felt like to this 30 week+ pregnant momma, the side of a mountain! it is built in such a way that you almost feel like you are inside a rainforest...truly a fascinating place. Trey's absolute favorite were the hippopotamus. It is so cute to hear him say the name. I have never seen hippos swim but they were so cute and quite playful. we stayed looking at them for at least 3o minutes. trey kept telling them to either open or close their mouthes...it was funny.

love how trey is looking at her so intently. he is on his best behavior and was listening to her directions and being so still....he wanted his face painted but we decided to each have our hands done and made into an animal...i'm having it framed now...turned out sooo cute! trey was a hippo, i was a lioness, michael was a monkey. sweet keepake.

here is trey holding a map of the zoo. he loves "maps" and held onto this looking at and telling us where to go, "that way" or "hold on i'm thinking, ok that way" we got it on video and it is funny.

Legoland

Legoland was a neat experience...and fun just to be together...however, trey was really too young to do most of the activities and he was quite overwhelmed with all the people and the animations. Plus, our little guy loves his "routine" so the two hour time difference in CA really impacted him. These pictures were taken the first day we arrived, it is 10am, but really 12 noon, Trey's time and he is ready for his nap! :) The plane ride over was, well, "busy" to say the least as the seat belt around trey didn't hold him in AT ALL...he slipped right out. A mom sitting behind us told about thecaresystem and we are def. going to purchase this for future travels :) However, practice makes perfect and the trip home was much smoother sailing!
