After about 4months start to finish we are finally ready to enjoy our backyard. michael and i are certainly happy with the end result and were even impressed with how much yard space is left for running around~~ michael + my uncle tim(owner of his own landscape co. T.W. Landscape) came up with the design. uncle tim came up with the idea of gas lanterns and it really does add alot! His crew did the entire project...thank you so much!!! we use this daily and it has really been alot of fun for us as a couple bc now we are out here every night after trey is in bed(disconnected from computer, phones,bberry,ipad you name it etc...) and we just talk, eat,visit, listen to good music and reconnect after the routine of our busy day. it sure makes sippin' wine and munching on nibbles alot more enjoyable!!!



the dog run! micheal also built this trellis so that we don't have to look at that fence from our dining room....

view from the dining room table: once the vines grow(star jasmine) i think it will be a nice view. certainly better than looking at my neighbor's car as was the case before the fence. and the fountain is quite peacful. i love to hear the trickle of the water throughtout the day and night.

we added a bumper edge around the fireplace hearth bc trey def. climbs all over this......up down up down....really, not much is kid friendly but i'm sure when trey +siblings are older they will enjoy hanging/visiting/studying(probably not, but sure beats studying in one's room) with friends. i hope michael + i create a home environment where our children/teenagers will want to bring their friends here to just "hang"........




outdoor kitchen, just waiting on the big stainless trash can to go in the middle. we got creative here and used old brick from our home to build the kitchen....blends nicely into the house and saved us a penny here and there!
