New York

last week were in New York visiting friends and attending a wedding. it was our second time away from trey, as we were in DC the previous week! michael and i have def. enjoyed our time together over the last few weeks.

the highlight, however, was not the fabulous city or sight seeing as we have been there but it was reconnecting with some of our best friends, Kelly + Ryan. we 4 decided it had been 4 years, yes 4 years since we have seen each other. of course we have kept in touch via email, phone etc.. but 4 years since a face to face.

when i saw my dear friend, kelly, it was as though time never passed us by. we picked up right where we left off and ended up having us a damn good time. the restaurants and conversations were fantastic, easy and so comfortable, and yea, well, the drinks weren't half bad either!!! i did my best to take some pictures and while i didn't snap any of the 4 of us i got some good ones. carrying a camera, phone and lipstick in a clutch is a tight squeeze!!!

the two restaurants that were my favorite were Mas Farmhouse and The Little Owl both in west village. and of course we walked through central park and had cocktails at the famous Boathouse, we also toured the neighborhood where K +R just bought their first house in the upper east side....we walked about 2 blocks from their new apt. to central park. Congrats, you two!!!

i took this one: not bad for "self taken" photo!

ravioli was delicious even if it was only 2 bites...whew..i tell you this texas gal is accustomed to having her entire plate covered that you forget how pretty food can look when its only a bite or two!HA!

i had to document that michael was eating "green"...my meat and potatoes man was eating this soup and it was quite tasty and he liked it which says alot!

The Little Owl. I cannot say enough about this charming place. it holds about 20 people total. we tried to book for a dinner and they were about 6 weeks out. so we went for lunch and it was soo yummy. gourmet comfort food at its best!!!!

me the next morning, a little sleepy and ready for my burger and mimosa!
