Caroline 7Weeks!

as i keep track of Caroline's milestones i am trying very hard, and being very "aware" as not to "compare" my two babies. Because, yes, they are very DIFFERENT. Most obvious, in their temperaments as babies.....

And Trey and I will always have the "bond" as "first timers" together and he helped mold me into the momma I am today so its pretty clear why any second child has to be easier than the first bc your PREPARED for what life is like with children :)))


Miss CEC at 7 weeks:
calm
smiling and cooing
easy going
sweet natured
laid back, go with flow
holding head up but not fully supported by herself yet, still a little wobbly

Her Loves:
the car
being outside in the heat
being held, she is not picky who is holding her...
EATING :)
Trey, she smiles at him all the time and just "watches" his every move
not a swinger
likes sleeping on her back

Things I love about her:
the way her bottom lip puckers out and pouts right before she starts to cry
her easy going, laid back personality
her chubby legs and arms
the way she looks at me....
the way she takes this deep breath in and breathes out the moment I pick her up or hold her as if to say, "ahhhh there you are, my momma".

Schedule/Feeding:
Last night, 8/24/11, she had a feeding at 930 and slept until 4:3oam,ate,went back to sleep and awoke at 7...Oh Blissful sleep! That was def. the longest stretch at night thus far :)
Eating right on track every 3 hours, roughly 4oz. sometimes slightyly more, sometimes less
I have yet to "put" her on a schedule yet so we are still in the "go with it" mode but she and i will be starting music class with Allison + Annabelle on Sept 25 so I hope to have her on a schedule by then.
Still on prevacid and that has totally helped with any reflux she had at 3 weeks. Her tummy tends to still bother her in the evenings however, i think it is more gas than actual colic as the moment she passes the gas its over, rather than a consistent crying session lasting for hours....and the VACCUM is still a lifesaver. I don't know what it is with both Trey and Caroline but they both seemed to be hypnotized by the vaccum. They go from crying to a trance in a matter of seconds...:) (trey no longer, obviously, just as an infant)

precious hat from our dear, special friends Kelli + her babe, Weslie :) So cute!

i loved this picture bc of her feet...my mom said it was like she was saying "hi" with her toes!
