Spicewood

one of the main reasons we bought a home in Spicewood is so that michael could have access to great cycling roads/hills/parks etc... so when we found Spicewood, which is about 20 minutes outside downtown Austin and saw that it was on Lake Travis we were sold! Michael has really enjoyed getting to ride his bike and explore new avenues to cycle. Pace Bend Park has been a nice ride for him.

It been a great way for our family to decompress and reconnect from the hectic week!

However, the lake levels are low. Below is Trey sitting in someones canoe that got stuck! Yes, its supposed to be IN water, but no suck luck without 6months plus of little to no rain. We knew when we purchased the property that Lake Travis was not a "constant" level lake such as Lake Austin or Lake LBJ. However, we love the area for not only the lake access, but for the cycling, hiking trails, views ,and its proximity to Austin, which in the end makes our drive very "do-able"!
