Christmas Day 2012

Christmas morning was blissful. However, Santa please grab a pen and pad for notes. Just 3 months shy of 4 years old VISUAL appearance is everything. IF it appears that Sibling C has more gifts under the tree than Sibling T this will result in a complete and utter breakdown in despair. And I quote " why would santa fill his sleigh up with more gifts for Caroline than for me"? end quote. Heartbroken he was. Santa I thought you were smarter than this. I'm sure you were thinking that Sibling T and Sibling C had equal "monetary" amounts spent, which they did, however at Sibling T's age this concept is totally unacceptable even if Mom and Dad TRY to explain. Thankfully Sibling C could care less about opening gifts she is more concerned with whats for breakfast and the wrapping paper. Praise the Lord for Sibling C's easy going manner...next year may not be as easy. So Santa, going forward please make sure there is equal amounts of gifts to unwrap. Now, Santa, please don't feel compelled to gift
more we think 3 gifts from you for each sibling is ample. Just make sure its physically wrapped, in  equal parts under the tree. PS: Don't run out of wrapping paper next year. Sibling T is smart and noticed that one of his gifts was wrapped in Daddy/Mommy's wrapping not Santas. Just sayin'.

Daddy giving CEC the baby doll he picked out.

Umm. I think she loves it.

Trying on his new batman light up shoes from Santa.

No matter the sweet fun gifts miss honey was gifted. SISTER wanted BUBBAS Goods.

Spotted. Ornament Snatcher!!!!

Case in point: She played with all his stuff. Her brothers things are the coolest of the cool to her. I hope he knows how lucky he is to have her and vice versa.

Come on...Come on... open open open HE will see me any minute! Sneaking some time with Brothers Spy Kit.

Probably the most comforable slippers to ever slip my toes into. It was numero uno on my wish list and Santa did not disappoint. Garnet Hill #i'moldishopatgarnethill

Trey's school ornament/gifts to us.

We spent Christmas Day afternoon at Gaga + Papas and had a splendid time. Mom cooked an awesome pork loin and we just lounged.

Snacking on Rasins....

Blowout and this momma forgot change of clothes.

My favorite Spy/Knight :)

Loved this one with all their hands....sweet.

Papa gifted Gaga a nice gift!

Takin' to the streets! I read a book a long time ago about praising children and trying to correlate success with practice and good effort. So we work really hard to say things to trey when he succeeds such as " Wow, Trey you must have worked/practiced for a long time to be able to ride like that" its certainly more thought-consuming than saying "Wow look how good you are". I'm certainly not perfect at it but i see a difference in his demeanor when I choose to congratulate/praise the "Effort" and not the "end the result" such as "your so good, look how fast you are"...its a constant effort that michael and i consciously work on.

Christmas is hard work.

taking her shoes off!!! Always.
