Boys and Their Toys.....

For those of you that know Michael he has a thing or two for a nice "ride". Since I've know him, he has always enjoyed being around and working on cars, well bicycles too for that matter. So when a good client,(we've had numerous dinners with he and his wife and Michael even cycles with him on occasion) invited him for the weekend in Florida to attend the Rolex 24 in Daytona, well he was thrilled for the invite. I wish he would have had pictures of himself taken, but nonetheless, here are some and I mean "some" of the photos he took that weekend. He must have taken 100 or soo...... I was so happy for him to go and have this experience....

Well, "Juicy Couture" that is! Nothing is too good for our, are you ready,

"Lola Piccola Patawone Boo Boo Jr. Casey". Piccola: small in Italian, and yes she was when we gave her this name. Patawone: For you Star Wars Groupies, Michael gave her this name. "Luke Skywalker, calls the young children, "His Patawone Learners",apparently Michael thinks she is his "Patawone Learner" but we aren't sure whats she learns bc she pretty much does what she wants...... BooBoo Jr.: Well, Michael calls me Boo Boo, and hence Lola is Boo Boo Jr. or Michael will say, "What are my "Dos BooBoo's doing?" Makes me smile and giggle every time!

I bought this "Juicy Couture getup that says "Give me Treats" with my dear friends Kelli and Drew when I went for a visit to their home in Old Town Alexandria, VA. It was "raining cats and dogs"(no pun intended) and we were shopping for our dogs. Although Michael and I aren't the type of parents to indulge our sweet dog, I had to have it and it was uber expensive, well, at least for a dogs outfit. So in the pouring rain, Kelli and I shopped for Couture Clothes for our pups....nothing like being a Doggie Mommy and then I think, nope, I'm positive, we headed to the nearest place for a glass of vino!

Needless to say, Miss Lola, does not like the outfit, frankly its a little snug. But I'll let you be the judge. Michael thinks she looks like a "misfit" ''criminal" or "about to rob somebody for treats or something." Not the most flattering of looks for Miss Lola.

Nothing like a "Facelift"

The above pic is the "BEFORE"......and below are the "AFTERS...... One of our first projects to tackle on our "To Do" list was the front yard. It was very dark and gloomy and the entrance to the front door was small and stuffy. My Aunt Liz and Uncle Tim, who own TW Landscape here in Houston offered to help us out...and boy did they ever! We totally gave the walkway stone a huge makeover, took off alot of the metal work near the front door and gave the yard a much needed "facelift'. It looks amazing and all of our neighbors stop by to "oohhh and ahhh''......

Michael's Zoysia Grass.....all we need is a golf club! He loves his Zoysia grass....I have to remind him "It doesn't like too much water"....

Our New Home.

ahh..yes, this is the day Gallery Furniture delivered our mattress. What you see here is where Mateo, the deliver dude' s foot went...through sheetrock. He called out, "Um, Ma'm(btw: I'm all of a sudden being called a "Ma'm"....whats up with that?) Can you help me get my foot out of your wall....."

This is elementary school park that is across the street and directly outside our study windows! So much fun to watch the kiddos at play: I will miss the sound of their laughs over the summer. Michael and I love to take Lola over there on the weekends to let her romp around!

Dear Friends and Family

After much thought we, well I, have decided to leap into the joys and benefits of cyberspace. As most of you know, I am not much of a "Picture" person. I don't make scrapbooks and as of right now all of our photos over the past 4 years are either:
A. In a frame
B. In a drawer inside the Kodak envelope they came in.

I must give credit where credit is due. My friend, Megan, recently started a blog. The lead roles are played by her preious kids Carter and Addison. While I have always thought, "Bloggish Smoggish, Who has time"? I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw Megan's Blog... Aunt Alli is now a devoted "blogger" to their website and its so delightful to catch up with her and her family via photos, thoughts, and videos.

Thus, I created Lola's "Tidbits and Snippets". So that our friends and family can catch up with us as we journey through important times in our life. One of those important times is mentioned below.

We just purchased a new "old" home. Although, we are smothered in boxes I must say its been a relativley smooth transition. Out of all the new things we love about our home here; there is one advantage that we can not get enough of....our sweet, although quite energetic Dog, Lola, has been transformed with the help of the large(well, inner loop large) backyard filled with squirrels, birds and airplanes oh my!!! Now for anyone who has read "Marley and Me" when one describes a dog as "energetic" it really means "bad damn dog"!! Lola means well, she just has her own way of doing things! But since we have moved, she is so polite and all we have to do is stick her outside for 20mins and BAMM.....wonder dog has arrived. The other advantage is that Miss Lola has lost some of her baby fat...wait til you see "Life on Harold" and "Life after Harold"....she is sportin' her new curves!

So for all our friends and family that say, "Man, we never see pics of you guys, send photos of this or that"....well DAHLINGS...Never say Never!
