Easter Egg Hunt: Kappa Style!

I love our alumni assoc. When I moved back to Houston after college. I really knew no one as all my close friends from college were either  1.not from houston or 2. ended up moving out of state. As a teacher i spent alot of my time with little ones and mentors, women i loved, but were not my peer group. I ended up going to a "night owl" event and found many many lifelong friends here in Houston and my best friend, Allison.  Our Alumni Group host alot of activities for young moms and their babies. Egg Hunts, Playdates etc.....

Jennifer hosted in her lovely home and did not disappoint on the decor!!! Super Cute.

Texas Bluebonnets 2012

In March the bluebonnets were in full bloom at the lake! Caroline was fascinated by them and just wanted to pick them. Which I kept kindly reminding her that that is ILLEGAL :) Trey wasn't too in much into "party pics" that morning so I took what I could get from the T-Man.

Kisses. I love how they love one another. Seriously, Trey has surpassed my every expectation as a brother. He is quite the stubborn one, still struggles with sharing, but def. improving and def. a mommy/daddy's boy so I was just so unsure how he would take to her. He loves her, he is protective of her and he genuinely enjoys her company especially making her laugh. Thats not to say that she doesnt' "bother" him a few times a day :). I hear this alot, "Mud-thr" (#1 when did i become a mud-thr to him?? :( "caroline is bothering me"..... poor honey, she just sits and smiles at him with her big brown eyes and enviable eyelashes, when he says this completely oblivious to his annoyance.

These are the best pics us we could get. Kinda hard to wrangle to kiddos and an infant who is squirmy :) Note to self: learn to work the camera timer.

Live from New York.....

Our longtime friends, Ryan + Kelly came to see us!!! They were quite kind in the fact that not only did they take off work, but wanted to come on a weekend so special to us:  Trey + Lily's Birthday Party weekend. They have never met Trey or Caroline and really wanted to see them! We enjoyed their visit so much. Nice dinner, took some pretty pictures (And I am not usually one who likes pictures) and a local bar. Kelly and I are not phone people and our schedules don't seem to match up given our time differences...we never talk, ever. We send an occasional text or email. It was refreshing to visit with my friend and pick up exactly where we leave off each and every time. I am blessed to know and have her in my life.  Kelly fills my cup and for that i will always be grateful.
