Trey "retrieves" the ball from Lucky Dog! He also shocked me by stopping, turning around and coming back to close the gate! I think he actually knows that the gates are supposed to be closed to keep the dogs in the kitchen. Maybe not. But i'm his Momma and of course i think whatever he does is "advanced"!!!HA!

Our First Trip to the Houston Zoo!

we went to the zoo over the weekend. it was so much fun and trey was in awe the entire day. he is such an animal lover. we will def. be back for more memories!!!

Cupcakes and Cocktails

Michael and I hosted a couples shower for Aunt Kristin and Uncle Ryan Jan. 9,2010. Since Aunt K was already lined up to have a shower in Galveston thrown by her girlfriends, a family shower in Dallas thrown by myself and our sister in law, Deena, I thought it would be fun to include Uncle Ryan and his buddies as well. So we had a diaper shower!! Lots of good food, cupcakes, cocktails and friends. It was alot of fun and i think the Mommy and Daddy to be had a great time: They are stocked on diapers and lots of other goodies as well. I tried to match Baby Casey's nursery colors to the party decor! The poms turned out so cute( but that was a whole lotta fluffin'!!!) Anything for my new baby niece who is debuting in March!!! I think i was able to snag some good shots of the party for her baby book! We all can't wait to meet you Baby Girl C!!!

Santa

we went to dallas the weekend of december 12, 2009. YaYa took us to the galleria and trey sat on Santa's lap like a big boy. We were proud and pretty impressed as most of the other babies were wailing....i think you liked pulling on his beard!!!

Have no Fear: Lola is Here!

trey and lola have a bond that i never imagined could exist and it is so special to watch. lola protects trey. always has. even though she can't see him she can smell him and she literally follows him everywhere. so when he is practicing with his walker i think lola can sense my "hesitation'" or my thoughts of "oohhh be careful" or "watch out" that i try to keep to myself: but lola girl: she feels it: and she follows him with that thing like " don't worry trey, i got your back"!! So cute. here are a few photos while we were in Hunt, Tx this week demonstrating lola's persistent following. By the way they went back and forth like this for at least an entire 15 minutes!!!

Christmas Day

we had a wonderful first christmas with trey. we woke up in our home and had fun opening gifts. trey was really only interested in the cards on the tree. but he lovved his doggie that sang jingle bells. then we headed over to my parents house. papa, grama and aunt a were there.

one of trey's favorite things is riding on papa's shoulders. trey looks like he's having a blast, papa on the otherhand looks like he's in pain and hoping all his hair is in tact once its all said and done.
