Hunting for Eggs

saturday morning we went to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt at the very end of our street. Carlos and Izzie came with us and it was alot of fun! Here are some pictures before the Egg Hunt Started....They had a bunny and Trey and Izzie said they would only sit on his lap if i did too!!!!

My "love bunny" sent me these flowers last night, in honor of Easter, and in honor of the "little things".....our marriage is more fulfilling than i ever could have asked for. Not because its perfect,because its certainly not, not because we are best friends, which we are, not because we have fun together, we do, not because we laugh at each others imperfections, we do, but because we really strive to focus on the "little things" that make one another giddy inside. i want our kids, trey, to know that nothing in life is easy and everything that is "good" takes "work". i pray that through our example we teach you, Trey, to be a respectful, loving,doting man to whomever you love throughout your life. momma and dada work at making our marriage thrive on the "little things".
I found a verse I really like, for many many reasons plus I think it goes well with the Easter Celebration.

Growing Up....

my Grami and Trey's Great-Grami made this special growth piece for his Birthday. we just love it, thank you Grami!! The nice thing is that when we have another child, whether boy or girl, we can stitch their name on either the other boy or girl shown and we can chart their growth as well....what a special gift. Thank you Thank you Grami!!!!

THE AFTERPARTY: when you are 4 and 1 the party keeps on going....esp. when "they" are well rested, and its bright and early in the morning. As PopPop would say: "party on garth".......

we celebrated trey's birthday with el tiempo mexican food and yummy birthday cake! i love this photo pop pop took 1. because michael and i are right there helping trey blow out his candle and 2. because if you look closely cousin Ella is pursing her lips and blowing too...ahhhh to be 4 i should have let her in to help us!!!!!

Trey's First Birthday "PAWW-TY"(Part4)

since i knew ella would be here for the birthday party i wanted fun things for us to do!!! being a teacher i know how important it is to have activities for kiddos! So since its almost Easter we dyed easter eggs...it was a perfect day to be outside!

trey is waayy more interested in carrying things at this age. he pretty much walks around carrying something. case in point: here he is carrying measuring spoons...where did he gets those, not really part of the party....who knows...!!HA
