Christmas Morning 2011

For Christmas Granny Jo sent us some amazing assortments of Bacon from Arkansas. Here is Michael cooking some up on Christmas Morning. 

When i look at all of our pictures over Christmas and New Years I feel so joyful. I am in love with my husband more than i ever thought possible, I have a funny, sensitive, loves to be-held-snuggled+loved on, empathetic, demanding,spirited  and healthy son and a radiant, joyful, content, loves to be-with people + and on the go,smiley, errand running trooper healthy baby girl. I realized that I can pretty much tackle and take on anything that comes our way, into our lives, as long as i have my 3 loves.

We woke up christmas morning and trey snuggled us in bed as usual. He didn't really "jump up" and remember to go downstairs...we reminded him that maybe we should go see if Santa came!

A New house he can decorate! Of course, a house isn't complete without electricity so the mega watt flashlight PopPop found for Trey came in handy!

Trey and Daddy made this yummy Christmas Breakfast! Nothing like a sugar rush to get you in the Christmas Spirit.It was excellent. I forget how yummy bananas, choc, and bread can taste.

Aunt A + Matthew...And Michael at the sink...i promise we ask him if we can do "something" "anything" but he likes to have only one "chef" in the kitchen. Honestly, I think he would rather do things himself! Don't worry though, he and uncle MM had themselves a VERY good time outside in the cabana with the fire, music and a nice bottle of scotch later in the evening.

Trey made me check and make sure the "chimney" is open like at the lakehouse. What he doesn't know is that our fireplace is "faux" and so there is no damper here at the house...hope he doesn't look under and up in the next 7 years!

This was such a magical, special Christmas. Trey was truly taken by all of it and it was just so much fun for michael and i. We can't wait for Caroline to join in the fun too! She was already out like a light by this time.

Christmas Eve Part 1: 2011

We hosted Christmas Eve again this year and it was just lovely. We actually ended up missing our 3:00 Christmas Eve Service ( I know Jesus will forgive us) as it started POURING down rain, one of the biggest rainfalls in the last 8 months. And to be honest, the thought of loading my almost 6month old and my 2 1/2 year old into their church clothes and in/out of the car just didn't sound fun! So we snapped some cute pictures of Caroline in her dress that she didn't even get to wear out of the house and will never fit in again...eh'mmmm aunt a needs to have a girl or a boy ( glad its one or the other :) as i will have a ton of things to send her way...either way! We started Christmas Eve early'ish. Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Timmy came over to bring T + C their gifts around 1ish and the celebration was in full force! Then the Mino Family who we have celebrated with since I was 6 joined us for dinner around 7pm

Caroline is really into Papa. We are always so shocked bc both kids seem to be so taken by him. He is the go to grandad!

Our best effort at a family photo. Just never really happens for us. There is someone who is always "off"...but you know, we look like we are all having a really fun time so i guess thats all that matters. Well, we are, the kids are like puuulleazzze not another photo! Trey's face here is either a "fake smile" or he is constipated.
