| Michael and I ended up taking a last minute, whirlwind trip to Calgary as in Alberta as in Canada! It was work related but we were able to visit Banff and Lake Louise which are beautiful, but it was very cold! I hope to come back during the summer to hike and experience all the things they have to offer. We spent most of our time in Calgary with a Realtor looking at houses. Michael had the opportunity to move to Calgary and be Citi's Head of Investment Banking Canada(lots of oil related activities going on in Calgary) so while we were pretty sure we were not going to take the plunge and move we figured we better check it out first. The thing we noticed right off the bat is that HOUSTON TX is CHEAP. You really do get alot of "bang for your buck" here. In the end we had a nice 4 day trip, got to spend time together and venture off to a new city. But i'm glad i'm not going to be trading in my "flip flops and shorts" for "parkas" :) |
