Elkins Class of 1998

I had my 10 year Reunion and well, lets just say that was a "Blast from the Past''!  I enjoyed every minute of it. Seeing old friends and just hearing about their lives and the different journeys we have all taken was really inspiring.  Friday nights event was at Sam's Boat, very low key and casual. Below are my two best friends from high school.  Deli Cole, on my left lives in LA and works for NBC Universal. Melissa Huffman, on my right, works for a Commercial Company that focuses on finding property sites for Walgreens througout Texas, lives in Fort Worth with her husband Scott, and at the time of this photo her 4 week old son Scotty Jr....does she look great or what??  I had so much for with you girls, we don't talk daily but the test of true friendships is when you can pick up where you left off every time.  Thanks, Girls for being in my life.

Baby Casey

I am a "Bad Blogger"...I know.  Its been almost two months since we have posted any new info. Things have been busy around The Casey household because friends, we are having a BABY!!!!! We are about 13 weeks and the day we return from Spain, I will be done with my First Trimester.... WOW..how time flies!!!! I'm just starting to Show so that has been fun! Our friends Kelli and Drew sent us our first onesie that reads "HOMEMADE" so cute!!!! And our Friends Megan and Blake sent me a precious shirt that says, "Pregnant is the new sexy" .....very fun. YaYa and PoP Pop sent a soft "snow bunny" blankie from Vail. Michael, Deena and Ella sent us some great books!! And Grami got Mom and I a book to track the Baby's progress on a daily basis....that has been very special. Michael and I are very excited about our new adventure.  Below is a pic from our first Doctor visit in August.Baby Casey's heartbeat was 173BPM.  Baby Casey arrives in March 2009!The Baby was moving around and I  think we were both startled at how emotional we both were.  I was farther along than the Doctor or ourselves had projected so seeing this little person(when we expected to see a dot) was a beautiful surprise.  We find out this week if its a boy or  girl! So stay tuned.  Alot of my friends who I used to teach with think its a boy because I'm popping out front and high....but we'll see, could have been what I had on that day.  Some days we can tell and others we are like, "Hey, where did the Belly go"??Healthy is our only concern!  To one of my best friend's Melissa, who is in Brazil doing volunteer work....I hope you don't read this before I get to tell you!!  To our Bible Study Group, if some of you read this before our Wed. night gathering at our house...act Surprised when we make the annoucement!!!!

Michael and  I would like to ask that all of our friends and family keep Baby Casey on your prayer list. Please specifically pray for Baby Casey to be HEALTHY.  Thank YOU. Michael, Alli and Proud Pug Lola!!!!

"Where's the FruitCake"???

Fourth of July 2008 was such fun and the weather, although at first looked WET, ended up being in our favour!!! This year a family friend made tee shirts for everyone, labeled with the long running joke of "Where's The Fruitcake"?? I'm not sure if we ever found out who has the cake this year or not!!! Thanks Laurel, the tee shirts were extra special!!!Below are some of our pics from 4th of July and our annual Saturday Day Trip to the Rockport/Fulton Community Pool!!!!! I also must add that on Saturday night, Michael Ray, Deena, Kristin and Myself played UNO...and yes I was crowned the overall UNO WINNER!!!! Dont worry guys...theres always next year!!!

Aqua Pug

We went to Dallas for Father's Day Weekend and to celebrate YaYa's Birthday!!!!. We had a great time! Michael decided it was time to take Lola swimming. She has only been one other time at my Grami's and well, lets just say we won't be throwing any sticks,balls, toys etc into the pool for Lola to catch any time soon. She dislikes the pool as much as my Kindergartners used to dislike sharing their crayons, which is alot. Teachers beware, When you are 5 and in Kindergarten sharing crayons is a BIG DARN DEAL....and when one does decide to share, well you better have alot of stickers,stamps,stars etc..and ready to anoint the very important Behavior Chart...don't worry they will remind you.

Anyhow, moving on. So below are some sweet sweet pics of Michael and Lola. So for those of you wondering "Are they that crazy about a dog" "Lola seems to be the focus their attention" I will lay to rest to the speculations.....YES we "like" alot of things...cooking at home, a nice bottle of wine, traveling, esp. to Valldemosa, Spain, friends, bike riding together, our New Netflix Account(so convient), The Family Guy(disturbing I know...but quite funny) etc....but without a doubt are IN LOVE WITH OUR SWEET PUG, LOLA. Even if she does have some of the world's worst, foul smelling farts known to mankind.

Lola and Ella

Our Sweet and Silly niece Ella! Ella and Lola(or LoLo as Ella calls her) are dear friends. On first look one might think that "Aunt Alli" has lost all control as I was in Charge the morning this picture was taken, but acutally Ella is giggling and laughing. And while its perceived that LoLo is knawing on her hand, she is actually giving Ella lots and lots of wet, Pug Kisses!!!!

Ella is a "Take Charge" kinda Gal! HMMM...she must get that from her Mommy, her YaYa, Aunt Kristin and myself!! On this particular day we are leaving and Ella is trying to get Lola to "Kennel Up". Now those of you that know Miss Lola, "Kennel Up" is not really in her vocabulary. Don't get me wrong, she knows EXACTLY what it means but she marches to the beat of her own "paws". Never the less Ella gives it a go!

Still not gonna happen.....so what's a 2 year old and Pug to do?

Well, dance it out of course! We just ended up having the best time. And yes, eventually Lola "Kenneled Up".....by manual force, that is!
