A Random Tuesday

Tuesday we were just rollin in "the Trey-Force One" aka the name Michael has given to our stroller....and yes, thats a sun hat.  We rarely go out without one bc his skin is sooo white/fair, something this Italian gal is not used to at all! Here are some super pics of him happy as a clam,at least for the 20mins we were outside! HA! Please notice his "BIG TOE" Trey has a very large big toe.....

"Tripoding" for Lola...I think Lola will be a big factor in getting Trey to crawl...he wants to be anywhere that she is!!!!

A note for Trey

The above and below pictures are from his First Day here on Earth! Trey I don't even think on this day did I truly realize the extent to which my love for you would be. On this day I don't think I realized the magnitude in which you would happily and joyfully impact the lives of Daddy and myself. You have now blessed us with 5months of getting to know you and my heart couldn't be more full of love than it is today.  You are my sunshine, my gift, on loan, from God and I am blessed to have you. I pray daily that you will learn from what Daddy and I "DO" and not just what we say. I hope to teach you, by example, in the way I live my life and how I treat people::::: kindness, the virtue of giving to others,that material possessions can sometimes "own" you rather than you owning them,  the act of forgiveness(because forgiveness is an act to me, a verb, something hard to do but we must learn to forgive or I feel the bitterness will take over you), honesty, self esteem(that even though you may never reach what our society deems as "Normal"....normal height, looks, body image, personality you name it) that you can still achieve/strive to be anything you want and just because you don't fit into a box doesn't define who you are: you my love, define who you are. I want to teach you to have ambition, to work for what you want in life, to have a purpose, something to pursue, to be goal oriented no matter the goal set one and know what it feels like to achieve it..I want to teach you empathy, empathy towards people you know and people you don't know....I look at you and  your so innocent, made in God's perfect image and I think, what a huge responsibility Daddy and I have to teach you and nuture you into a self-sufficient, kind, loving man who can make smart decisions when faced with peer pressure and tough choices, I hope you know you can ALWAYS come to me and Daddy for anything, We will always be here to help you even if we don't like the situation your in we will never turn our back on you, just always communicate with us,and in the end  I think I don't need a game plan: my plan is simple: I will strive to teach you by my example;which is not perfect, but  you make me accountable to "model" to you daily and you are a constant reminder that I have a "choice" to make on how to handle situations as you watch me and to take advantage as we Educators say of, "Teachable Moments"........I love you through and through and to infinity.....Mommy

Trey and his Pug, Lola

For so long Trey and Lola really didn't have interest in one another.  Plus, being blind is hard on a pug and I don't think she ever really "saw" him.  However, Trey is ALL ABOUT LOLA. He loves her and I think he is just really curious about "this thing" who has fur, looks funny, is important to Mommy and Daddy, Who we constantly talk to "Lola do you need to go potty, Lola do you want to eat, Lola are you thirsty, Lola do you want a treat etc..." , who snorts and barks, etc...I won't be surprised if Trey's first word is Lola!  And look how sweet and kind Lola is with him. Now that the shock of her going blind is behind us, we often joke, "Too bad all it took was going blind for Lola to turn into a really well-behaved, civil dog"!  Seriously, laughing makes it a little easier to deal with.

So proud of Lola in the above picture. She is gentle and never once tried to jump up on him or the bouncy seat! You Go Girl!

Faces of a Teether

As I have mentioned in my "Fourth Month" going-on's of Trey...he is TEETHING and it's quite "painful" for all parties involved.  One of my many "baby expert" books comments on teething and I quote: "Some miracles sail right through teething:: going to sleep one moment and waking in the morning with a new tooth grins and all.  While other not so lucky miracles, find that teething is a tortuous journey and endure pain for ALL 26 teeth".........end quote.  Ok. Hmmm...given the recent history of our little man its safe to assume that he will take the later option: and so we are all in this "pain" together! However, if this is what pain looks like below, well, is kinda cute.  I only took a few, wanted Trey to soothe himself without "Mommy's Papparazi" detailing the whole event!  

On a side note. I have mentioned before  that my most favorite website for "All things Baby/Mommy Related" is www.coolmompicks.com, these two ladies find some of the neatest things around.  Anyhow they recommended this book and I do too! Its totally a satire on "overachieving" parents and its freakin' hysterical, so funny, that its found in the "Humor" section(instead of the baby/parenting section) next to, MODEST PEEPS STOP HERE, "How to live with a Huge Penis: advice, meditations,and wisdom for men who have too much:otherwise know as OMG(Oversized Male Genitalia) and yes, i had to snatch this up for Michael, because lets face it, all men think theirs is "other wordly".....HA!! Anyway, back to the point, the Book titled: The Perfect Baby Handbook: A Guide for Excessively Motivated Parents, is probably the funniest take on how some parents strive for perfection. 

If he wasn't teething one might see  this as constipation!

Where oh Where have we been?!

WOW! July flew by! We have been busy...not sure that I can recall anything specific...just livin' our lives and having fun watching Trey grow.....We can not believe he will be 5 Months in 4 short days.....he is the love of our life and the age he is at is sooo much fun!

Trey LUVVES Penny...he kept grabbing her hair and wanting put her in his mouth!!! Sorry Penny!

As you can see he is very frustrated but at last he gets it in his mouth!
