Cabo 2011: Whale Watching

One of the fun outings we did was whale watching! We actually saw many many whales but capturing them on camera, in a moving boat was not an easy task! Plus I sat down most of the time and the camera taking task was left in Michael's hands....and well, he is not the most patient photographer! :) It was a beautiful day, and the rock structures coming out of the water were amazing.

The other activity Michael and I participated in was an organic cooking class, (no cameras aloud)hosted by the hotel and it was so much fun! Cabo has some of the most beautiful and tasty tomatoes I have ever eaten!

They are handmade and come in a variety of vibrant, happy colors! I snagged one for our dining table(in the lightest color they had, a pale gray)as a keepsake :)

Trey at 23 Months

i can't believe our trey is going to be 2 in just a little over a month! amazing how time passes...trey you have changed me, for the better, in ways you will never know! I love you, Mommy.

We are busy getting ready for a CIRCUS birthday party that Aunt Kristin and I are throwing for Trey and cousin Lily, who is turning 1 just 6 days after Trey!
The Casey Circus is coming to Town :)

What did you do on your Snowday?

We didn't get snow. Bummer. We just got all hyped up and excited expecting snow and we woke up to an "ice day" instead of a snow day. So for about two days we did lots and lots of fun inside activities until we came down with cabin fever. This is how silly being cooped up all day can make a 2 year old!

Sharing

the park we go to often is really neat. people donate old toys to the park so there is always a bunch of fun toys to play with. Of course, trey + another boy who is 3, wanted to play with the same truck!
Its a lesson for all of us, because trey actually did have the toy first and this boy came over to snatch it away. My first gut reaction was "hey, kid we had that first" but i refrained as i know this was a teaching moment on sharing...but i wanted to get mad and cry too! Ah...the mama bear in me! :-)

Part 3: Glowing Mommy

Its ironic that my best friend from college, Megan, and my best friend here in houston, Allison, have the two most stunning smiles I have ever seen. If i didn't just love and adore them both i might have "smile envy" :-)
And at her shower, Allison's smile was 100% stunning.

She was simple glowing and so happy that my heart just filled with joy for her.

I love you, Allison, my bestie and I am thrilled for you + david and the bundle of love coming your way in March....Annabelle.

I am also so happy we were able to catch Allison's happiness on camera.
