Showered with Love

On Feburary 21st I had my  "Family Shower" thrown by some of the most important women in my life.  It was so lovely, from the decorations, to the fun games, to the yummy cupcakes...everything was just beautiful.  Thank you all for making it such a special day! Along with family, I was lucky enough to have all my former Teacher Friends join me on such a fun day! These women are so important to me as well. I'm so glad we are still close and keep in touch even though I haven't been teaching in a long while!!!!! Below are a few pictures from the day! Trey really "racked up the goods" at this shower!!! We had carloads of fun stuff! Michael and I are set!

On a side note: No Baby Trey, YET!  I have another ultrasound tomorrow, Friday, so we shall see what the Dr. says  and I will update everyone!

He weighs HOW MUCH???

We had our 36 week ultrasound yesterday.  The top two pictures are his face. The left one you can see his eye, cheeks and lips but his little hand is covering the other half. On the top right you can pretty much see his entire face! The bottom two are side profiles so you might want to turn your head to get a better look!

Trey weighs 6 1/2 pounds and is in the 52% for weight and length.... and the sonographer said "WOW" he has alot of hair! Yup, we figured that!!!!

My cervix has already started thinning out. Our Doctor said she wouldn't be surprised if I started labor in the next TWO WEEKS! So we are all on standby!!

I have another baby shower this weekend hosted by my Aunt, Cousin, both sister in laws and my sister! Should be a wonderful and special day!! On Sunday Michael and I are getting our hospital bags packed and ready!  Of course, it could be four more weeks, but since my body has already started the process we want to be prepared!!!

When Nobody is looking

In honor of Valentines Day quickly approaching,I wanted to share this photo. The first in color and the second in black and white. This was taken, without our knowledge, by someone at our friends,Robert and Michelle Raney's Wedding. I am actually pregnant here and we didn't even know it yet!  I didn't even know it existed until Michelle sent it along with their Christmas Card.  Thank you Michelle and Robert for sending this picture to us. "Love" is how you look and act when "No One is Watching"....and for Michael and I this picture captures our love. With so much going on in our lives, and in our world,remember that above all there is Love. Love for your God, your husband,boyfriend, your girlfriends,sisters/brothers, Parents, Grandparents, Teachers, Friends, Pets, children....you get the picture. And if you always "have" someone to love then one is never really ever alone.

Michael, I love you.And shall we ever have times where our Love is not the front and center of our marriage, we should always look back at this picutre, this moment in time as a beautiful reminder. Happy Valentines 2009!

A Shower Fit for a King!

Our Janurary 31st shower was hosted by 8 of my lovely friends:Jane,Allison, Luvi,Lauren,Whitney,Megan,Melissa and Monica! As you can see from the photos below these girls pulled out all the stops! Photo Session:Dr. Kristin's Way

It has been quite a while since we have posted anything new.  We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years.  We are so excited about our little bundle of joy that is soon to be here.  Our nursery is all set to go(pictures to come), we have had  fabulous showers and another one at the end of this month!  We are busy reading everything we can, watching DVD's(Happiest Baby on the Block) and learning how to work all this new equipment!!! Strollers, Carseats, Toys etc.... We never knew Babies came with so much stuff!!!!!

Over the weekend we enlisted the help of our talented sister in law,  Dr. Kristin  who not only was just asked to be CHIEF RESIDENT(CONGRATULATIONS) for her Radiology Department but is also a photographer on the side! I told her if being a Doctor doesn't work out....she should try photography!  Below are just a few "snippets" of what she captured for Michael and I yesterday.  BEWARE:: for those of you who have "modest" eyes precede with caution.  As most of you know, I'm not modest by any means and thought these were too beautiful not share with friends and family. Kristin, Thank you so much for capturing this special time in our lives.

Sweet Bunnies

I'm still learning how to work our new camera: Nikon D200. It's supposed to do all sorts of great stuff but as of yesterday I can't even focus correctly!!!!
Bumper. Blue Velvet with cream dot buttons and ties. This will be what you see on the outside of the crib.
The bumper on the inside of the crib is this. Blue velvet with cream dot stripes, then the bunnies are outlined in the blue stripes. Ruffles on top are the blue stripe. Then the two short end bumpers are the blue velvet with cream dots.
Again this is the inside of the bumper. The crib sheet is the cream dots that match the ties.....
I am really excited about the nursery. It is going to be such a sweet, serene, and calming place for us to be and spend time together. The curtains are in the process, so I can't wait to see how it all comes together!!!
